About Us

De Silva Theatrical Services Ltd are a production company and live events support service based in Norfolk, UK.  We are headed up by our founder & director, James, who has twenty years of experience working in the theatre industry, both as a performer and in a support role.

With an extensive background working both nationally and internationally, James is a trained performer & musician alongside the production work he undertakes.  As such, De Silva Theatrical Services Ltd was established to fulfil the role of collating all this work under one roof.

In 2024, James & the team worked with Downham Amateur Dramatic Society to rebuild & refresh their organisation.  The first project was ‘Disney in Concert’, performed in early May, with ‘Broadway Under The Stars’ being the second even-larger scale project performed outdoors in September.  The year 2025 brought the next round of productions alongside DADS Theatre Company, providing full technical production design, scenic construction and sound/lighting installation & programming.  In late March 2025, Calendar Girls created the challenge of building a theatre in a non-traditional building and in August, Thank You For The Music build upon our success together using our new outdoor stage and festival sound in Downham Market.

In 2026 we are co-producing Norfolk’s first ever amateur production of ‘Dear Evan Hansen’, providing full technical design, installation & programming.
